How It Works
What happens during your Denver Zen Den session?
You get comfortable, talk through what you want from the session, then lie back while your chosen light, sound, vibration, or visuals begin.
Usually, you close your eyes and listen. Your host shapes the session around your comfort, and you can adjust, pause, or stop at any time.
Private sessions, by appointment.
Your visit, step by step
Arrive and get comfortable
Meet your host, get oriented, and settle in. Let us know what would help you feel comfortable before anything begins.
Talk through what you want
You might want quiet time, a chance to unwind, or something more exploratory. Share your preferences, questions, and anything you want to skip.
Lie back and receive
Your chosen light, sound, vibration, or visual layers begin. Listen, rest, and notice what comes up. You do not need to make anything happen.
Return slowly and check in
Take your time sitting up. Share what you noticed if you wish, and leave with space to reflect on your own experience.
What you do
Lie back, usually with your eyes closed, and let the music or other chosen layers give your attention somewhere to rest. If you choose VR, you follow the visuals through a headset.
You can notice sensations, let your mind wander, or simply listen. No meditation experience or special breathing technique is required. There is no particular feeling you need to achieve.
What your host does
Your host explains the options, listens to your preferences, and helps you get settled. Together, you choose the layers and a comfortable starting point.
Your host handles the equipment, responds to requests for changes, and helps bring the session to a gentle close. Before starting, agree on how you will let them know you need an adjustment.
Every layer is optional
You do not have to try everything. Light, music, vibration, VR, and guided attention can be discussed before you begin. Choose from the options available for your session.
Your first choice does not lock you in. Ask for less intensity, a different volume, a layer to be removed, or a pause. You can also end the session.
Light is never required. If you prefer a simpler experience, tell your host. Comfort guides the choices.
Before you come in
A few practical suggestions to make settling in easier.
- What to wear
- Choose comfortable clothes you can lie back in. A light layer can help you stay comfortable while resting.
- Food
- Avoid a heavy meal just before your session. Aim to arrive feeling comfortable rather than overly full.
- Hydration
- Arrive hydrated and bring water if you like. There is no special drink or preparation routine required.
- Phones
- Silence notifications before you settle in. Let your host know if you need to remain reachable.
- Arrival time
- Follow the arrival instructions in your booking confirmation and allow time for travel and parking. Contact us if you are running late or unsure when to arrive.
- Your comfort
- Tell us about sensory sensitivities, positioning needs, or accessibility questions before your visit so we can discuss what is possible.
Comfort and safety come first
Denver Zen Den offers wellness education and relaxation, not medical care. Sessions do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions, and no particular outcome is promised.
Some optional light experiences use flashing light, which can trigger seizures in susceptible people. If you have a seizure history, significant light sensitivity, or a medical concern about participating, speak with a qualified healthcare professional and contact us before booking. Your host cannot provide medical clearance.
Tell your host immediately if a layer feels uncomfortable or you want to stop. You never need to push through an experience.

A few common questions
What happens during a first visit?
You meet your host, talk about what you want from the session, and review your comfort and sensory preferences. Your host explains the options before you settle in, then leaves time for a gradual return and check-in.
Do I have to use the light?
No. Light is optional. Tell your host if you want a session without it, and discuss which other layers you would like to include.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can rest in. Bring a light layer if you tend to feel cool while lying still.
Can I change the session while it is happening?
Yes. Ask your host to adjust the intensity or volume, remove a layer, pause, or stop. Before you begin, agree on how to signal that you need a change.
How long are sessions?
Length depends on the experience you book. The session builder offers 30, 60, 90, and 120-minute options. Check the length shown for your selected session and the details in your booking confirmation.
What happens afterward?
The session winds down, and you take time to sit up and check in. You can talk about what you noticed or keep that reflection private. Give yourself a little room before your next commitment if you can.
Make room for your session
